About
I study the impact of work related collisions on health and safety parameters among different groups of workers such as emergency respondents like police officers and paramedics. These analyses are conducted using epidemiological database as well as research design using naturalistic data collection, field operational test and simulators. I completed a Postdoctoral fellow at HEC Montréal, laboratoire de sécurité sur les transports of CIRRELT and Postdoctoral fellow at the MIT AgeLab and Center for Transportation & Logistics. I worked on research projects on driving, aging, cognitive distractions and human-machine-interface as well as the effectiveness of active safety systems. I received my Ph.D. in kinesiology from the Faculty of Médecine at Université Laval. I've focused on evaluating on-road and visual search behaviors of drivers in order to better understand the effects of aging and whether a simulator-based training program combined with driving specific feedback can improve safe driving behaviors in older drivers. I have published several publications in international peer reviewed journals in the domain of Human Factors and Ergonomics, Motor Control and Learning, Biomechanics, and Health and Safety. Specialties: Road safety, driver performance, on-road and in-simulator evaluation, aging and specific health related problems (TBI, OSA, Driving under the influence), physiological and cognitive responses to distractions behind the wheel.
