I have 20 years experience in production management,. I am a qualified maintenance engineer having a sound knowledge of how machinery operate. I am currently working in the 1st and 2nd tier automotive supply industry as the night shift manager, with a team of 70 employees plus 6 team leaders as direct reports. We work to a very high international standard of quality following the 8D format if quality issues arise, writing and using standardized operating instructions and procedures, following and working towards a lean manufacturing environment. In my current role, I am responsible for all production and the running of the factory, I also headed up new production lines and introduced new process flows and easy working by implementing new procedures working out head count for each production line . I have lead and overseen our current business budget from £60m to £95m this current financial year reducing scrap levels from 4% to 3% developing and training operators into world class and specialists in their area of work. I produce a daily production reports which includes, production, manpower, quality, scrap, absenteeism, housekeeping and consumable budgets . I am self motivated and have strong leadership abilities always willing to take on new challenges learn and pass on experience to others in my team. In a previous role, as Factory Manager for a plastics injection moulding, extrusion and thermo forming company I grew the business from a £1m turnover per month to £3.5m per month by getting involved with new products introducing a lean manufacturing environment reducing scrap, training operators. I was responsible for 120 employees, this included all HR issues, production planning, budget forecasts, health and safety.
