• Set up, operate, cut, shear, slit or straighten sheet metal. • Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers • Examine completed work pieces for defects • Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications; materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, dimensions and tolerances • Load work pieces into machines • Set up, operate, and tend machines • Start machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data • Test and adjust machine speeds or actions to product specifications • Install, align, and lock specified cutting blades, or other fixtures in rams or beds of machines, using gauges, templates, feelers, shims, and hand tools • Clean and lubricate machines • Position, align, and secure work pieces against fixtures or stops on machine beds or on dies

• Supervising Technicians • Creating job quotes • Answering phones • Obtain descriptions of vehicle problems, discuss work to be performed and future repair requirements • Recognize problems accurately and clearly describe them on the repair order • Estimate costs and completion times at point of sale. Properly communicate them to customer • Assign jobs to technicians based on skill level and current resource utilization • Review work-in-progress to ensure quality and timeliness. • Occasionally assist technicians • Assist in the preparation of parts orders • Make estimates for internal and wreck repairs • Open & close all customer paid, warranty, and internal repair orders • Handling warranty items, including tagging and proper storage of these items • Familiar and efficient with all phases of the computer system required for service and parts management • Notify customers immediately of any changes, delay, or additional work needed • Handle customer complaints

Extensive hands-on training in engine overhaul, manual and automatic drive train, front end alignment, brake service and repair, fuel systems, ignition systems, and air conditioning. In addition, the program provided me with training in electrical and electronic control systems, engine performance diagnosis, and on-board computerized engine control systems diagnosis.
