Project Manager for the ASRA Void contract

Lead Quantity Surveyor responsible for an Assistant and Trainee QS on a £3m external refurbishment programme of 3 tower blocks in North London. Works included concrete repairs, rainscreen cladding, window repairs, complete new railings to all floors, new flooring to all externally exposed walkways and complete new roofs.

Surveying duties include preparing budgets, negotiating with sub-contracts, placing sub-contract orders and agreeing fortnightly and monthly payments, completing the month end progress report for the monthly valuation and then completing the month end reconciliation for the Directors for both residential and commercial developments within the Derbyshire region.

Worked mainly during my time here on the refurbishment of 67 MOD houses at DHE Kineton worth £2.1m, every house was on a re-measure for invoicing purposes and this was done and passed to Senior Surveyor for invoicing. Also worked for the NHS on a measured term contract measuring and pricing small works upto a £10,000 value.

Quantity Surveyor for new build projects and design and build projects ranging in value from £500,000.00 to £2.5m. Project sectors include medical centres, retail units and industrial units. Responsible for monthly valuations to Clients, agreeing valuations and ensuring payments received on time, monthly profit and loss reports for Directors, placing subcontractor orders and making payments. I also have lots of ideas and enthusiasm which I have brought to my current position as the company has taken on several of my ideas regarding reporting and order placing.

Duties include preparing tender submissions. On site surveys for refurbishment and painting contracts mainly for Mitie Engineering. Carried out Contracts Manager duties on Care Home refurbishment and also painting contract to new build ten pin bowling alley in Sunderland for Phelan Construction. Also producing internal month end valuations and month end reports and invoicing to Clients.

Carried out surveying duties on a number of refurbishment projects for major retail organisations including McDonalds, Debenhams, Marks and Spencers, Asda and Tesco.

Carried out surveying duties for several new build housing developments with the East Midlands region, mainly involving the weekly booking in and paying of sub-contractors.
