• Simultaneously directed chemistry efforts at three companies (Sage Therapeutics, Flatley Discovery Lab, Taxis Pharmaceuticals) involving CNS, cystic fibrosis & antibacterial targets - inventor on 8 patents (filed 2019); IND candidate delivered for Flatley Discovery lab. • Responsible for developing Med Chem strategy and ensuring proper execution of over 30 FTEs (supporting 3+ programs) involving CRO (WuXi, GVK BioSciences, & Jubilant) and internal FTEs (Taxis Pharmaceuticals) • Experience delivering investment portfolio insight (Aju IB Ventures), competitor patent analysis (Kymera Therapeutics), novel IP for academic start up (Stony Brooke University), patent insight (Sage Therapeutics & Nimbus Therapeutics), grant review (CARB-X) and Expert Scientific Advisor (Pew Trust)

• Delivered pre-IND candidate to dog toxicology and CV studies from phenotypic lead to pre-IND equity in less than 3 years by improving synthetic route, addressing safety issues and building strong and dynamic global team of internal and external resource. • Advanced portfolio of neglected disease small molecule leads from the Broad Institute’s Diversity Oriented Synthesis (DOS) library beginning from phenotypic screening leads through in vivo proof of principle. • Established and monitored project goals as well as go/no go criteria for the medicinal chemistry, CMC, DMPK, in vivo studies, pharmacology, and toxicology efforts overseeing a portfolio of 5+ programs. • Developed research plan & milestones and negotiated business terms of agreements with CROs, global academic and industrial partners and stakeholders; controlled $3 million/year research budget; raised $6 million over three years through competitive funding sources.

Headed the Collaborative Discovery Chemistry group in Hyderabad, India. • Guided and executed GVKBio Collaborative Chemistry research portfolio and oversaw all chemistry research activities spanning from early discovery to candidate selection, working out of Hyderabad, India. • Achieved candidate drug selection & four project transitions for biotech and large pharma partners involving a portfolio of oncology, neuroscience and metabolic disease targets.

• Directed multiple LI and LO chemistry teams to elucidate SAR and to improve physical properties with mixture of internal and external FTEs. • Coordinated external global chemistry (FFS & FTE) delivery of late leads to drug candidates under tight timelines with internal teams. • Fostered three programs into Infection portfolio with one effort leading to AZD0914 currently in Phase III as Competitive Intelligence leader.
