Directed and coordinated delivery across 10+ engineering teams while building a multi-phase modernization roadmap aligned to extremely aggressive DoD acquisition timelines; placed teams strategically across roadmap phases to ensure synchronized delivery and successful completion of Phase 3 platform release. Designed and evaluated end-to-end system architectures, identifying capability gaps, technical tradeoffs, and integration risks; delivered recommendations that shaped program direction and technical execution. Led enterprise-wide code and architecture reviews, establishing technical quality gates and compliance standards required for government sponsorship and formal release approvals. Provided technical acquisition expertise during the program’s transition from planning to execution, supporting feasibility assessments, milestone planning, and pathway documentation. Produced and delivered executive engineering briefs—including risk models and scenario-based tradeoffs—used by O-6 Commanders and General Officers for go/no-go and major investment decisions. Influenced allocation of a large scale engineering budget, advising senior leadership on contractor utilization, infrastructure investment, and roadmap funding across fiscal cycles. Implemented structured risk mitigation strategies that balanced Category I system requirements with high-tempo delivery expectations. Created an early-career engineering pipeline by developing onboarding, apprenticeship, and mentorship structures that transitioned new graduates into fully productive technical roles within 6 months.

Spearheaded full-stack development of the Commute mobile app, building features across Native Android (Kotlin) and cross-platform VueJS/TypeScript, including UI views, data workflows, and performance-critical components. Integrated BingOneService API to securely store PII, ensuring compliance with Microsoft data governance and privacy policies. Implemented comprehensive app telemetry across Android and web layers, analyzing user behavior with Elastic/KQL to drive UX and performance improvements. Developed and executed unit tests (JUnit, Mockito) across Android and Vue codebases, improving code stability and reducing bugs Led global internationalization efforts, ensuring localized content and consistent user experiences across multiple regions. Impact Highlights Increased DAU from 12K → 21K by developing the Commute Times feature, enabling personalized home/work travel insights. Designed and prepared the Nearby Traffic Incidents feature for release, projected to drive DAU from 20K → ~80K (4× growth). Integrated Bing Maps Traffic API with OkHttp + Retrofit, enabling real-time, location-based incident updates to enhance UX.

Evaluated and prioritized product features based on business goals, technical feasibility, and customer insights, driving alignment across Design and Engineering. Led the transition of Microsoft Maps to a full vector rendering experience using open-source MapLibre, shipping to 4M+ users in FY23 Q3. Defined the roadmap and technical specifications for the vector transition, including new features like Vector Traffic Flow, Traffic Incidents, and News Cards. Revamped the MSN Traffic experience in partnership with Design/Engineering leadership, resulting in a 200K increase in daily active users (DAU). Drove the creation of the top 300 place-of-interest vector icons, coordinating dataset sourcing and illustrator workflows, achieving 1.17M monthly hovers. Identified and removed performance-heavy map layers, enabling 60 FPS, a 1.5-second perceived load time, and a 20% increase in user dwell time compared to v8.

TIP Scholars is a small academic community for first-year students admitted to the College of Natural Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin. The overall objective is to provide a supportive but challenging environment where successful high school students can continue their excellence as successful college students through mentorship.

Responsible for representing the University to underrepresented minorities interested in Computer Science. I Provide tech talks, tours, and mentorship to prospective Traditional and Honors UTCS students!

As president, I serve as a liaison between ABCS and several corporations to help build relationships between students and companies. Responsible for planning both corporate and outreach events to empower the next generation of young technologists (Internally and Externally)! I also serve as a mentor to incoming Freshmen in UTCS in regards to their collegiate and corporate career by hosting professional development workshops and mock interviews.

Association of Black Computer Scientists (ABCS) is an organization aimed towards assisting African American CS students as they pursue their degrees and move into the workforce at The University of Texas at Austin. My role is to represent the organization when speaking to companies interested in ABCS and create events for Members to network with these companies.
