Field Application Scientist @ GenScript

About

I am a Field Application Scientist with a background in Life Sciences and expertise in antibodies, product development and bioinformatics. In my past roles I have built and launched a catalog of validated research antibodies, developed bioinformatics pipelines and software, generated cell lines for expressing recombinant proteins, developed cell-based and in vitro assays, and served as technical lead on several launched Life Science products. I have extensive experience managing research associates and junior scientists while remaining active at the lab bench. Throughout my various roles, I have drawn from my diverse skillset, seamlessly adapting and learning on the go to successfully tackle challenge projects. I thrive when I make significant contributions to projects, support the teams I am on and have opportunities to learn new skills. As the technical lead on multiple projects, I managed R&D tasks from inception to launch, consistently meeting goals on time. I have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and effectively collaborated with diverse functional groups and colleagues across organizations. My technical skills include: • Antibody screening and validation • Protein Expression • Immunoassays • Western blotting • ELISA • Immunofluorescence • Flow cytometry • Mammalian Cell Culture • CRISPR & siRNA • RNA • Bioinformatics • Programming in Python & R • AWS cloud services, Docker, Nextflow & Linux • Building and maintaining SQL databases • Gel & blot imagers • Cell Line & Process Development • Protein expression and analysis
