Mark R. Schuster Bio: Mark Schuster is a business executive, investor, musician, published author, thought-leader, advisor, and philanthropist. A serial entrepreneur who started his first business at age 16, by the time he was 18, he'd sold his second company. From there, Mark started selling real estate, becoming the youngest licensed agent in the State of Washington. At 22, Mark founded The Schuster Group which grew and became a significantly successful family of companies investing and developing notable real estate projects throughout the Puget Sound region, while dedicating itself to advancement of community and sustainability. Known for combining personal philosophies and business acumen to achieve extraordinary results, Mark has been recognized throughout his career with numerous civic and business awards and recognitions, been featured in many local and national media publications, and is the recipient of the prestigious Torch of Liberty Award from the Anti-defamation League, for his work and dedication to civil rights and social justice. Mark has served on the boards of numerous regional and national non-profit organizations including: Anti-defamation League, Mazon - A Jewish Response to Hunger, US Fund for UNICEF Council, and the JDRF Seattle Guild. Mark's book Lofty Pursuits - Repairing the World One Building At a Time, published by Brown Books, is the recipient of two national book awards. A business memoir, based on honoring his grandfather by developing what became one of the most acclaimed building in the country in 2008, Mark takes the reader on a journey through the three pillars of sustainability surrounding family, business and community. After being at the helm of The Schuster Group for 28 years, Mark retired from the day-to-day operations to pursue other activities including Charity, Music, Business Advisory & Mentorship, and his pursuit to visit all 63 U S National Parks. He continues to serve as Chairman of the Board of The Schuster Group, Inc.
