* Led a group of undergraduate volunteers in performing in situ hybridization experiments to understand the genetic pathways controlling abdominal pigmentation patterns in Drosophila guttifera * Assisted PhD candidate with embryo injections by aligning embryos and pulling and loading needles * Created genetic crosses between injection survivors and wild type flies with the goal of establishing purely transgenic fly lines * Experience working with transgenic organisms and RNA
