Work as a caregiver weekly to assist people who are unable to provide transportation to and from medical appointments, supermarkets and personal needs appointments. As such need to be empathetic and compassionate to your patient but without being patronizing. Ability to listen to your patients' needs and frustrations without giving answers. Involved weekly in a variety of tasks including responding to local disasters as a Red Cross technician to assist victims/clients of man-made and natural disasters. Coordinate the Job Information Center in San Carlos which recently opened for the first time in 2 years. Assisting 10-20 unemployed clients daily in job searches, resume writing, and interview techniques. Develop and teach introduction classes in job search, Linked-In, Word, Email as well as an introduction to computers. Assisted in obtaining over 100 clients seasonal, part-time and full-time employment.

Worked with unemployed clients to assist in their search for a job. Worked as coordinator/intern in the nationally recognized one-stop career center in San Mateo County. Developed a variety of classes to deal with various impediments in getting jobs as well as looking at alternatives to present working locations, job positions and satisfaction with their existing job history

As EHS manager I worked with a variety of manufacturing , Facilities, R&D personnel to ensure safety was a top priority at TTC including chairing the Safety Committee and Lab Safety committee. Conducted monthly audits of all building sites. Covered the entire field of safety and environmental health including but not limited to HMBP, machine guarding, hazardous waste, sustainability, air permits, issuing fork lift permits, and stormwater control plans. Worked with all regulatory agencies to minimize audit findings such as the fire department, County EHS, BAAQMD and CalOSHA. Developed metrics for a variety of items including water and electrical usage, hazardous waste disposal, number of accident/injury for workers compensation.

Developed and implemented all EHS courses including but not limited to Hazardous Waste, Biosafety, Radiation, Hazardous Materials, etc. Coordinated and implemented the first Emergency Response team that cleaned up a variety of spills without injury to any team members. Coordinated all Worker's Compensation claims with the insurance company as well as modified work place to the employee's satisfaction when necessary. Decreased worker's comp claims year over year by 10-25%. Minimized power outages by ensuring working operation of backup generator in the event of local power outages thus preserving over 1 million dollars of frozen molecules. Closed down a facility in Denmark that met all local and EU standards within time and budget. Awarded bonus for this endeavor. Also dealt with a variety of contractors to clean facility, sell excess equipment and meet local/federal environmental standards.

Developed the first safety procedures for both lab and manufacturing that help minimize accidents at the company. Developed EHS training for a variety of courses including new hire safety orientation, radiation, ERT, and a variety of other courses for a rapidly growing company. Developed safety phrases for the manuals that were distributed to our biotech/pharma customers for equipment that we manufactured. Developed training for field service employees who were required to install and run our instruments. Participated in annual EHS audits of our international sites including UK, Italy, Sweden, Japan and Singapore. Responded to government inspections so that any findings were rectified within the prescribed time without any penalties.

Responsible for enuring employees were wearing proper PPE, following recommended safety/environmental procedures as well as providing EHS training for all employees.
