* Responsible for a team of three engineers, image deployment, Netware 6 and GroupWise 6 administration. Object creation, deletion and migration within eDirectory * GroupWise account migration. Built the XP images for HP desktops, Toshiba and HP laptops * these were installed using Ghost.

Installed and maintained Dell Windows 2003 file and print servers, administration of a Netware 6 three server cluster including a GroupWise 6.5 server with a three post offices. Managed user login scripts and administration across the entire network. Created XP and W2K desktop images for Dell and Compaq PCs which were deployed using Ghost.

Third Line Administrator of a GroupWise 5.5 email system with fourteen thousand accounts, over one hundred post offices and fifteen domains. Initiated proactive checks, which resolved many issues before they hit the users.

Dedicated Lockheed Martin Devops Engineer for the Government’s Skills Funding Agency Apprenticeship Website Development Team in an Agile environment. Mark attended a Daily Scrum meeting (customer, third party supplier or in house) where he took actions to support the current Sprint across SIT, UAT and Production environments. SQL administration of regular jobs and monitoring of SQL server resources with T-SQL. Overhauled the Operations Manager 2012 architecture of gateway servers to reflect resource usage across multiple production, pre-production and operation environments. Configured all Operations Manager required alerts, views and Distributed Applications required by DBAs, developers and management to support rigorous SLA demands.

* The Midlands Meggitt M.I.S. department provided remote and deskside support to all levels of the business across multiple sites and over two thousand users. The server estate was around two hundred servers based across five Active Directory domains on VMWare and supported with vSphere. * Key Achievements: * Exchange 2010 and 2007; PowerShell script and form for first line engineers to create email accounts to PLC standard. * Problem management of the more challenging calls too complex for third line Support Desk resolution. * Microsoft Access maintenance and support of non-documented databases.

Created a restricted-access Active Directory forest and integrated it with the existing network infrastructure for the central government GCSx project. Commissioned a Remote Installation Service server into Active Directory for disk-less imaging of PCs over the network using PXE. Built the images to a common standard for both laptops and desktops.

Deployment support for a famous high street name new web infrastructure for both the general public and business to business credit agreements with LaserUK. Support for the developers in SIT, UAT, PUAT and Production environments. The deployment was based in VMware vCloud Air. Provided third tier infrastructure BAU cover for uptime, developer troubleshooting and third party partners. Third tier support for the back end administration in Windows, Red Hat Linux, Active Directory, RODC installation into application VLANs, managed service accounts and security compliance. Wrote a deployment wizard for Windows Server 2012 for the web (IIS), application (IIS) and SQL servers into vCloud Air with PowerShell. The automated PowerShell deployment wizard was based on bespoke xml files developed by Mark.
