Worked on a number of US Department of Energy (DOE) nuclear environmental projects including K-Basin Project, Tank Waste Remediation Project, and the River Project Projects.

Yucca Mountain Project, Nevada, USA - Responsible for engineering management, cost, and schedule of Subsurface Projects including underground tunneling and rail transportation systems. Work included oversight of three subprojects; Repository Subsurface Facility, Waste Package and Components, and the Emplacement and Retrieval project.

THORP, Sellafield, UK - Front-end design, detail design, through to site installation and start-up. Responsible for several discrete areas of mechanical handling plant and equipment. Work included 3D modeling, mechanical equipment, vessels, and piping designs, detail design and specification of mechanical equipment, site installation support, start-up and commissioning support.

Four year indentured engineering design apprenticeship. Work included training in general machine shop practices, mechanical manufacturing and fabrication techniques, drawing office practices, engineering design solutions and project work on various nuclear facilities.
