Right now I'm at Thunder Compute building low level software to utilize GPUs more efficiently and bring down the cost of renting GPUs. Between Aquatic and Thunder, I worked on a personal open source project, I405-tunnel. It's an anonymous networking tool designed to give stronger privacy guarantees than Tor in some ways. Check it out on github! Previously, at Aquatic, I worked on the market data and research engineering teams. My experience there ranged from working on a bitemporal database, to low-latency market data ingestion using EFVI kernel bypass, to migrating our deployment infrastructure to Hashicorp Nomad, to optimizing the performance and memory footprint of features written by our researchers. During Summer 2022, I interned at HRL Laboratories. I spent my time building an e-graph implementation and then using it to optimize quantum circuits, with moderate success. In college I was involved in the Husky Satellite Lab, an undergrad small satellite team. I was involved in the club all four years of college, and in 2021/2022 I was the club's president. My main focus was developing LOST, a novel open-source star tracker, a device which can determine a satellite's orientation by identifying constellations of stars. My interests are mainly in programming languages, security, and networking. When I'm not busy with work I get paid for, I work on side projects, go running, and read sci-fi!
