New Product Introduction Engineering Manager - Aerospace Pumps

Oversee all activities performed by a large team of project engineers and design engineers to deliver multiple bespoke fuel pumps to large aircraft manufacturers such as Boeing, Airbus, Embraer and Dassault. Manage all bid activities by planning, budgeting and liaising with customers for the product lifecycle through gate 0 and gate 1. Once won my team will progress the programme from gate 2 until entry into service. The products are designed to meet strict aircraft safety requirements and are highly reliable in order to last 30 years operation. Responsible for sign off of all aircraft certification documentation including Qualification Reports, Safety Analysis, Failure Mode Effect Analysis, Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews. Take pride in further developing myself, my team and product design processes to continually better our output and product quality. Understand the voice of the customer to highlight the critical to quality requirements that will help develop our future pump designs and maintain the companies reputation as one of the top aircraft fuel system manufacturers. Senior Systems Engineer
Senior engineer working on a multi-million pound new venture product providing a full command system for the Royal Navy's new Astute class submarine Supervision and production of the full suite of: engineering, commercial, quality, operational, design, requirement capture and interface documentation for the command system. Generation of hardware and software system design documentation and requirements while implementing change management procedures. Represented BAE Systems and presented to the customer (Ministry of Defence and Fleet), the design for the command system at the whole vessel Critical Design Review. Operations, APM, IPM, B2B, merger and acquisitions, design authority, Further responsibilities included interaction with the prime contractor for the submarine command and control system resolving design issues that arose when developing software and hardware products for use in system of systems architecture. Ensuring that the customer's technical requirements for the command and control systems have satisfied both budget and time requirements. Responsibility as the technical engineer for design evolution tasks that analyse future technology and functionality for complex weapon systems within the submarine combat systems. This method utilises system engineering techniques using Sysml as the modelling language.

Graduate Systems Engineer
The graduate scheme is designed to train the leaders of the future and includes a series of challenging 3-6 month placements within different elements of the business. The following constitutes some of the activities undertaken during the graduate programme: Four months with an engineering team assisting in the delivery of Visual Systems for four submarines at various stages of the vessels lifecycle. Four months seconded within the Ministry of Defence to assist the smooth integration of the External Communication System into the submarine, and to assist the development of the relationship between the MoD and BAE Systems. Three months with the Future Combat System team looking at various System Engineering tools to accommodate Open Systems Architecture within the business. Three months with the Design Evolution Team working on aligning multiple roadmaps to focus the development of future combat systems to the requirements of the MoD. This placement involved close cooperation with highly ranked military personnel to achieve a tight schedule. Five months collating requirements and developing generic test equipment for reducing cost when producing test hardware in the future.
