Mark McDonald

As President and CEO of Moonbeam Trading Company my primary responsibilities include making major company decisions, managing the overall operations and resources of the company. Moonbeam Trading Company provides services and products in technology, agri-foods, international trade and ecommerce. My role sets the tone and vision for Moonbeam Trading Company to position it as a for profit socially and environmentally conscience black owned company focused on achieving business success while delivering social value.

Toronto Community Housing is the largest social housing provider in Canada and the second largest in North America. As a member of the executive leadership team, Mark oversees all aspects of the ITS function and leads the transformation process to refresh Toronto Community Housing's business and information technology strategy through the use of digital and intelligent building technology to create digitally connected communities.

Chief Information Officer responsible for the city-wide IT portfolio supporting 13 separate lines of business enabling technology and digital integration, business transformation and strategic visioning moving the City of Vancouver towards becoming a recognized "Smart City". Mark Initiated the 2016 IT and Digital Services Review to transition into a hybrid IT organizational model capable of supporting future growth within the smart cities and digital sector. His strategic leadership has been recognized was a contributing member of the corporate risk management (RMC) committee and the corporate analytics and reporting steering committee.

Provided director level leadership as head of the Canadian information technology division. Responsible for client based lean transformation, the development of multi-year technology road map, integrated engineering software solutions and asset management solutions for municipal water/clean water divisions.
