Mark Gilsenan

I have recently obtained my masters from Trinity College Dublin, and I am looking for work in the biomedical engineering industry. The focus of my master’s project was to develop a pore-forming hydrogel as a potential drug delivery system to help with cartilage regeneration. This involved critical thinking and analytical skills in choosing the best materials to move forward with for the development of the hydrogel. Outside of my experience in college, I have had the chance to work in the manufacturing engineering industry in CombiLift, having the responsibility of programming the CNC controls for machinery and the scheduling of orders on excel. Other responsibilities included a role as a design engineer, using solidworks to model and design components for easier fitting and assembly on the factory floor. What I’m particularly excited about is the opportunity to explore different types of industry and gain more experience and knowledge in my field.
