25 years in whisky retail and nearly the same time hosting private, public and corporate whisky tastings. For 15 years I managed a shop owned by an independent bottler on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile before moving up hill to another whisky shop in 2015. Simultaneously I have been running my own whisky tasting business Jolly Toper. Over time I must have served more than 2,500 drams to approximately 10,000 attendees at over 500 tastings. That’s maybe 50,000 glasses worth. Just saying.
