Reporting directly into the UK Head of Procurement of a £multi million turnover leading specialist distribution and manufacturing organisation, supplying a diverse range of products to a wide range of customer markets in a variety of industry sectors. These include: Grocery, Food service and Retail, Pharmaceutical, Distribution, Manufacturing, Agricultural, Healthcare and Food processing. I manage the total end-to-end procurement of 300+ SKU’s within the Corrugated materials category, across the three UK sites – Stevenage, Corby and Norwich. Personally responsible for a purchasing spend in excess of £5million. Accountable for the planning, scheduling, progressing and placing of Purchase Orders. Managing the turnover of bespoke corrugated products held on a 'stock & serve' basis. Responsible for supplier performance management reviews, SLA's and KPI's covering Specification, Delivery, Condition and Cost.

Helping to provide superior added value to the Corby and Manton Wood sites, specifically ensuring the right packaging materials are delivered at the right specifications and at the lowest acquisition cost through the correct due diligence, whilst optimising the commercial benefits. Daily handling of Thermoformed plastics, Sleeves, SRP Cartons and POS printed labelling products. Liaise with key departments throughout the business with regular interaction with Commercial, Operations, NPD and Quality

Reported directly to the Product Purchasing Manager of the UK subsidiary of the Raja Group; a multi-national leader in packaging supplies with both catalogue and online presence. Personally managed over 1,000 SKU’s across 6 categories covering – Cartons, Postal Boxes, Plastics, Machines, Strapping Tools, Stretch Film, Labels, Janitorial, Facilities Management, PPE, Warehousing and Office Supplies with a total spend of £3million. I had complete supply chain ownership, from developing product ranges (cradle to grave), negotiating costs and terms, setting sales prices and stock levels to receiving goods in and checking quality. Analysed, reviewed and developed category spend and product movement against sales and margin performance targets, manipulating and validating data (using Pareto). Acted as first line support for sales and supplier queries relating to products featured in any of the channels to market and for any special enquiries received. I provided products and any necessary training documentation to, or demonstrations for, the Sales team in time for associated catalogue launches. I had an indepth product knowledge and in-depth understanding of key selling points of those products and how to effectively market and position them. In both the catalogue and on the website. I implemented and developed SLAs and KPIs, in order to monitor and measure suppliers against predetermined targets.
