Maritza Mosella

Medical Science Liaison (MSL) | Genetics | Rare Disease @ Vertex Pharmaceuticals

About

As a lifelong enthusiast of the biological field, my background came from the University of São Paulo, in which I studied Immunology and Genetics, and applied for 5 years in Oncology research and recently, 4 years in the pharmaceutical field. During my scientific journey, I developed the ability to deal with a large amount of scientific content and communicate it clearly and concisely, which I use to meet customer needs for complex information. As MSL, I have the opportunity to build long-term relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and the medical community, to understand their needs in the clinical practice, and to promote a two-way scientific dialogue, in a hybrid model. I'm skilled in gathering and understanding insights and scientific intelligence, helping to implement strategies aligned with the product life cycle while helping to improve patients' quality of life. I consider myself an efficient and objective science communicator, with attendance in 5+ international meetings and a 1-year internship abroad at the Neurosurgery Department of the Henry Ford Hospital, in the United States.
