Professional Japanese Translator & Editor | Based in Tokyo Specialized in Environment, Energy, Medical, Standards (ISO/IEC), Academia, Legal, and More I have been working as a professional English↔Japanese translator and editor since May 2012, with extensive experience across a wide range of fields including environment, renewable energy (wind, solar, hydrogen, etc.), medical and pharmaceutical content, international standards (ISO/IEC), legal documentation, academic publications, and also in areas such as sports and luxury branding. Currently, I serve as an in-house linguistic validator for U.S. government-funded medical record translation projects (English↔Japanese), where precision and attention to detail are paramount. In parallel, I also work as a researcher at an environmental consulting firm in Tokyo, supporting businesses with environmental compliance, primarily from a linguistic perspective. Previously, I was engaged in research and project support at a Japanese governmental R&D funding agency operating under METI (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) for nearly a decade, focusing on renewable energy, climate change initiatives, and advanced energy technologies such as fuel cells and hydrogen production.
