Bill of Design Subject Matter Expert; Body-Aero Strategy leader - Systems Engineering for Dynamic Spoiler project - Implementing a systems engineering approach to an electrically actuated dynamic spoiler during the design concept stage. I analysed the project, taking into account the customer requirements and vehicle targets and wrote a specification based on the practical constraints identified. This included creating a clear design brief, boundary diagrams, system interaction diagrams and using “System Vee”. I supported the supplier during the design phase. - Systems Engineering Representative for Body Engineering – Development of systems engineering practices across the wider design team. We reviewed a number of techniques, including benchmarking other companies and current processes. I suggested the best tools to use based on the dynamic spoiler project. - Body-Aero strategy Owner - Creation and development of the Body Engineering- Aerodynamics strategy, which recommended the best technologies and processes to meet future vehicle aerodynamic targets. This included liaising with other teams to collate the required information, analyse competitor benchmarks and identify which technologies could be implemented within a given time frame. - Bill of Design Subject Matter Expert – developing the Bill of Design “best practice” document, managing the authoring process and overall control of the document release process. I also ran training sessions to teach new starters how to use and author their own Bill of Design documents. - Working towards a Masters with the University of Bradford and undertaken modules including Robust Engineering through FMA, Design of Experiments and Sustainable Product Design.
