Leading the Operations Department in the MEA Region. It extends to Project Management and Key Projects/SLA’s as well as management of the Order Fulfilment Team and the Service Operations.

Various Projects – Value: $15,000,000 to $250,000,000 In charge of the Civil/Structural/Architectural (CSA) and MEP works in a large-scale Data Centre, located in Abu Dhabi (Customer confidential). Leading the execution of the MEP works in different EXPO 2020 associated projects like Sustainability Thematic District (AFC), Al Wasl Parcel-C (AFC), Iconic Water Feature (ATC) and Media Centre Fit-out (ISG), working hand in hand with reputable Consultancy firms and CH2M-Mace as the PMC. In parallel, assigned with the responsibility to lead the Estimation Department of JLW from December 2019 to September 2020, a period during which the company received seven Contract awards (in two of them as the Main Contractor).

Project: Gold Line Underground – Value: $3,350,000,000 Responsible for the design completion, the detailed design development (i.e. construction drawings and details), the procurement and the self-performance of the MEP works, including the Building Automation and Controls System as well as the Vertical & Horizontal Transportation System. Been in charge of a team in excess of 400 staff members, approximately 3,000 own manual operatives and 4 Subcontractors and managed, within short period, to achieve substantial savings through procurement and design optimization.

Various Projects – Value: $60,000,000 to $600,000,000 Responsible for all different functions of AKTOR’s MEP Department in Qatar, dealt successfully with the challenges resulting from the company’s two-fold strategic approach; to establish and develop an independent MEP subcontracting arm in the local market while in parallel maintaining the ability to self-execute the MEP works in all other company’s projects, where AKTOR was the main contractor. During the same period, led the establishment of a centralized procurement department, established a labour camp and a training center for manual operatives and participated in the relocation of company’s Tendering Department from UAE to Qatar as well as in the reformation and further growth of the same. Also, had the responsibility to overview all MEP tenders in Qatar and other GCC countries, the highlight of which was the tender submission (that eventually led to an award, in March 2016) for the execution of the MEP works in the Gold Line Underground project in Doha. Active participation not only in AKTOR’s restructuring in Qatar but also in the enhancement of company’s policies and procedures, while in 2016 was appointed as a member of AKTOR’s Executive Committee, responsible to represent the company in ISF / CPC-02 and Qatar Rail / Gold Line Underground projects.

Projects: CP26 AMH and CP94 GSE/MTW/FMF – Values: $780,000,000 and $122,000,000 While maintaining the responsibility for the handover of Qatar Airways aircraft maintenance hangar, had to lead the MEP team in a smaller scale project within Hamad International Airport; a multi-maintenance facility that contained the full range of MEP services and specialists’ equipment. During the same period, and in particular in May 2011, undertook the responsibilities of the Construction Manager’s position (both, Civil & MEP) in CP26 project, while in December 2012 was appointed as the Contractor’s Authorized Representative for the same, and maintained the position until September 2013.

Project: CP26 Aircraft Maintenance Hangar – Value: $780,000,000 Transferred in Qatar from UAE with the sole responsibility to terminate from the project the already appointed, but non-performing, MEP subcontractor and to reorganize and establish a solid MEP structure that would be able to self-execute the entire scope of MEP works for the largest aircraft maintenance hangar in the world. During the execution of this EPC contract, led an MEP team of approximately 120 staff and 1,500 labours towards the successful, technically and commercially, completion of the works.

Project: Jebel Ali Sewage Treatment Plant – DS 150 – Value: $440,000,000 Responsible, from November 2008 until April 2009, for the entire range of MEP works in the supporting building facilities of the Jebel Ali Sewage Treatment Plant; the largest STP in Middle East. Project: Residential Development & Townhouses at Mirdif – Value: $265,000,000 Responsible, from May until November 2008, for the entire range of MEP works in a complex of Townhouses and a group of Office buildings in Mirdif. The development was one of the very first to be cancelled in UAE due to the economic downturn. Project: Arjaan Rotana Hotel Modifications – Value: $10,000,000 Responsible, from November 2007 until May 2008, for the fit-out and installation of additional services as well as for the modification of existing ones in the residential tower of Al Sufouh Mixed Use Development project, to satisfy the requirements of the appointed hotel operator. Project: Al Sufouh Mixed Use Development – Value: $80,000,000 The first project award for AKTOR in UAE and the first MEP Contract in Middle East. Had the privilege and responsibility, from July 2005 until November 2007, for the successful execution of the MEP services for a 13-floor Office building and a 32-floor Residential building with common basement and podium levels.

Member of the very first team of AKTOR’s employees that were relocated from Greece in UAE to facilitate AKTOR’s establishment in Middle East. The initial function of the team was that of tendering various MEP projects in Dubai (e.g. Jumeirah Beach Residence, Terminal 3/Concourse 2 in Dubai Airport, Arch Tower in Jumeirah Lake Towers, Al Sufouh Mixed Use Development in TECOM, etc.).

Various Projects – Value: $17,500,000 to $20,500,000 Led the construction activities for the entire spectrum of MEP works inclusive of BMS and vertical & horizontal transportation systems, initially for the metro station within Athens International Airport and then for a multi-storey office building & TV studio (Alpha Digital) in the suburbs of Athens.

Various Projects – Value: $2,500,000 to $23,500,000 Responsible for the construction activities of an IT Data Center and an Energy Center (i.e. refurbishment of substations and installation of a PLC based Power Distribution Management System) for a group of five neighboring buildings in Athens as well as responsible for the MEP works during the renovation of two preserved neoclassical buildings, both located in the historical center of Athens.
