I led business development, strategic sales, and operations for a leading regional industrial company specializing in the manufacturing, fabrication and repair of conveyor & power transmission belting, distribution of MRO supplies and material handling solutions. I expanded the business through supplier partnerships, distribution growth, and service diversification. My focus was on driving revenue, improving internal processes, and building strong B2B relationships across Central America.and The Caribbean.

I managed sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and inventory optimization. I streamlined procurement processes, strengthened vendor relationships with global manufacturers, and improved cost efficiency across multiple product lines. My role focused on ensuring supply reliability while supporting commercial growth.

I began as a summer co-op and gained hands-on experience fabricating conveyor and power transmission belts. I worked with various belt types and operated a wide range of fabrication tools, including presses, slitters, skivers, and welding equipment. I supported custom belt builds, splicing, and assembly processes for industrial applications. I collaborated with the production team to meet tight delivery timelines and quality standards. Through this experience, I developed a deep understanding of belt construction, materials, and application-specific requirements. I also assisted in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. This role built the technical foundation that has supported my long-term growth in the belting industry.

-Led local and international procurement operations across multiple categories of industrial goods, components, and strategic supplies, ensuring cost efficiency, supplier reliability, and operational continuity. Managed end-to-end sourcing processes including supplier identification, qualification, validation, evaluation, contract negotiation, purchasing strategy, and vendor relationship management. -Developing and implementing procurement policies, procedures, supplier scorecards, and best practices to improve purchasing governance and operational efficiency. -Supporting and participating in MRP/ERP implementation initiatives, including inventory planning, purchasing workflows, BOM structures, and procurement process integration. -Leading CUSMA/USMCA compliance activities related to the import/export of goods, including supplier documentation, origin verification, trade compliance coordination, and customs-related requirements.
