My responsibilities focus on the execution of functional tests on both Baxter products and prototypes to evaluate whether they meet the quality requirements of the market. These tests include: visual inspection to find macroscopic defects due to the manufacturing process (e.g., plastic molding, missing parts...); mechanical tests (traction/compression/pressure tests) to ensure the endurance of plastic components and seals.

Development of a "Surgical Cockpit" for co-manipulated, robot-assisted laparoscopic procedures: pre-operative calibration of the platform, real-time impedance control of the robotics arms, automatic endoscope positioning, accurate instrument tracking, applications in Augmented Reality surgical navigation.

Main focuses of the Master's Degree Courses: Digital Electronics for Medical Applications, Sensors and Clinical Instrumentation, Robotics, Image and Signal Processing, Data Mining, Optics. Master Thesis Title: "Recognition of Intentional Violations of Active Constraints in Cooperative Manipulation Tasks".
