Technical Reviewer and Mentor for the NASA High School Aerospace Scholars (HAS) program, supporting high-achieving high school juniors participating in this competitive STEM initiative from October through April each year. In this role, I serve in my spare time as a primary point of contact for scholars, providing mentorship, academic support, and program guidance. I manage grading and student communication through Canvas LMS and facilitate virtual meetings and office hours to ensure students receive timely feedback and support. I also coordinate with senior student mentors to help scholars navigate program expectations, strengthen their technical work, and successfully complete project milestones. This role allows me to contribute to the development of future STEM leaders while fostering collaboration, accountability, and academic growth.

Transitioned into education to further develop leadership, communication, and organizational development capabilities while mentoring students and contributing to community growth. Designed and delivered data-driven learning programs that leveraged engineering-based problem-solving and project-based learning to improve engagement, analytical thinking, and performance outcomes. I made the decision to pursue a long-time ambition and passion for formal education and begin a professional career in teaching. I Completed a comprehensive educator apprenticeship through the Three Rivers Foundation in partnership with Clint ISD, focused on preparing secondary mathematics teachers through hands-on classroom experience and formal training. During the program, I developed practical skills in classroom management, student differentiation, instructional design, and effective teaching strategies through coursework provided by ESC Region 19. While participating in the apprenticeship, I simultaneously pursued a Master of Education in Learning and Technology. I completed a year-long in-person teaching internship at Clint Early College High School, where I planned lessons, delivered instruction, managed daily classroom operations such as attendance and grading, and worked closely under the mentorship of an experienced teacher to strengthen my instructional practices. In addition, I served as a long-term substitute teacher at Horizon High School for one year, independently managing the classroom, supporting the mathematics department, and continuing to refine my teaching methods while completing my state certification exams. This experience allowed me to build strong classroom leadership skills while balancing graduate studies and professional certification.

At Mahle Compressors I progressed through three engineering roles Manufacturing Engineer, Project Lead Engineer, and Program Manger—supporting high-volume compressor manufacturing operations. Across these roles, I led new product introductions, developed manufacturing processes, and coordinated cross-functional teams to successfully transition new compressor models from engineering design into full production. My work focused on improving operational efficiency, product quality, and production capacity through the application of Lean manufacturing principles, structured problem solving, and data-driven process improvements. As a Program Manager, I managed North American new model launch programs, integrating engineering design changes into manufacturing operations while ensuring compliance with global standards and customer requirements. I also facilitated engineering reviews and developed standardized work documentation, control plans, and process training materials that enabled operators, technicians, and supervisors to sustain process improvements and maintain consistent product quality across high-volume production lines. As Project Lead Engineer, I directed the development and launch of a new compressor assembly line, delivering production capability four months ahead of schedule and generating approximately $9.8M in additional product sales. I oversaw the design, validation, and implementation of manufacturing equipment and production layouts, while coordinating engineering, production, and quality teams to achieve key launch milestones including PPAP approval, ramp-up targets, and zero-defect product launches. As Manufacturing Engineer, I improved production performance by increasing assembly line output, implementing automation and technology upgrades, and reducing scrap through process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives. I collaborated with production teams through process validation, equipment installation, and technical training.
