The Wake County Public Library System is dedicated to enhancing community literacy and access to information. A hub for learning and engagement, this organization serves diverse populations across multiple branches in Raleigh. I joined this organization to further my passion for community development through educational resources and outreach. In my role as a Reference Librarian, I provide assistance in research and information literacy to patrons, while developing programs tailored to various community needs. My focus is on encouraging lifelong learning and efficient information retrieval. My main responsibilities include: - Conducting one-on-one research consultations - Organizing workshops on information literacy - Curating resources for community programs - Collaborating with local schools and organizations - Assisting in collection development

Wayne County Public Library is a community-focused institution that provides essential resources and support to learners of all ages. I chose to work at Wayne County Public Library to gain foundational experience in library services and customer engagement. As a Library Assistant, my responsibilities included supporting library operations and assisting patrons in locating materials. My engagement with the community allowed me to develop effective communication skills and a deeper appreciation for educational access.
