Marianne Modica

I am a teacher educator, department chair, critical race scholar, and fiction writer. Currently, I teach courses in early childhood education and educational foundations and serve as education department chair at University of Valley Forge in Phoenixville, PA. My publications include Race Among Friends (an ethnography exploring race relations in a suburban high school), The R Word (a young adult novel), and King Me!
