Serves as Officer-in-Charge and Recruiting Officer for ASU's partnership program at Grand Canyon University. Responsible for developing and implementing programs and strategies that contribute to recruiting, retaining, and commissioning quality cadets to help reach FY mission set goals. Establish the Army ROTC program as an integral member of the GCU community and sustain a credible reputation within the leadership hierarchies of GCU.

Recruiting Operations Officer for the SROTC BN at AZ State University and Grand Canyon University consisting of over 170 cadets and 11 cadre members. Responsible for developing and implementing programs and strategies that effectively recruit and retain quality cadets to reach FY mission set goals. Manage an annual recruiting and marketing budget of $6K and scholarship budget of over $600,000.

Planned and conducted strategic communications and marketing activities to heighten awareness and increase positive exposure of the Secretary's initiatives in the public and private sectors. Planned and conducted media relations events and press conferences in various states that involved senior members of congress, senior military leaders, and senior civic and business leaders. Wrote news releases, responded to media queries, developed media lists and tactics, coordinated media interviews and press conferences with local, regional, national, and trade media. Identified speaking opportunities for the Secretary at major events to gain maximum program visibility, and prepared speeches and presentations for the Secretary. Led a team of 2.

Managed and led 35 professionals providing human resources support for over 2,700 employees worldwide. Advised the general officer and senior executives on all aspects of human resource management and through a major reorganization of the directorate. Managed employee requirements, the staffing and recruitment process, employee awards and compensation, and employee performance evaluations. Reorganized the HR Division to redefine functions and develop a cohesive working group among branch employees. Developed systems and metrics to improve timeliness/accuracy for all personnel actions, decreased late performances management reviews by 80%, and ensured compliance issues were resolved. Conducted employee promotion and succession planning boards. Provided guidance for retention, terminations, and discipline actions. Wrote personnel policies, procedures, reports, and correspondence on behalf of the general officer.

Managed and led the public relations program for a 50,000-person organization, and served as its spokesperson. Planned, managed, and directed external/internal and crisis communications, speechwriting, key message development, and executive media relations training. Advised three general officers and 18 senior executives of critical issues and prepared them for successful encounters with the media. Planned, directed and managed strategic plans/policies to provide public relations support for more than 20 military operations, including Operation Joint Endeavor (Bosnia). Conducted simultaneous operations in multiple countries with a permanent staff of 16 professionals, and a transitioning staff of 30. Integrated the efforts of international, national, and local media sources. Conducted large-scale media events in support of visits by the President, First Lady, congressmen, USO concerts, and employee/family special events.

Directed human resources management, executive administrative and protocol functions for three general officers and 18 senior executives in an organization consisting for more than 50,000 employees with a staff of 16 employees. Planned, directed, and managed numerous significant events for U.S. and foreign military and civilian dignitary visits, international ceremonies, conferences, dinners, balls, and meetings.

Planned and directed employee requirements and support planning for a 6,000-person organization with a staff of 10 employees. Established systems and refined procedures to improve processing employee performance evaluations, awards, occupational health and safety investigations, and congressional inquiries to improve quality of support. Advised general officers and senior executives of employee requirements management, personnel laws, rules, and policies for relevant personnel programs.

Planned and directed human resource programs and systems for an organization consisting of 15,000 Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) students in over 142 difference colleges and support staff of 1,000. Managed and led a staff of 36. Established systems and procedures for processing employee performance evaluations, awards and compensation. Managed employee requirements. Implemented equal opportunity and diversity programs and training. Planned, directed and managed the recruiting and retention activities for the organization. My program operating procedures were adopted by higher headquarters for use at all ROTC Region Headquarters.
