Maria Eduarda Gomes Ribeiro

Volunteer involvement in a research group within the scope of the Jean Monnet Module – FECAP, focusing on the production of academic reports on topics related to the European Union–Brazil strategic partnership, democracy, sustainability, and multilateralism. Participation in individual and collective research projects, interdisciplinary cooperation among researchers, and support in the organization of academic reports and events, under the supervision of Professor Rafael Almeida Ferreira Abrão.

As an events intern at JW Marriott, I experience a dynamic day-to-day environment that integrates the knowledge acquired in my International Relations course with professional practice. I actively participate in the planning and coordination of international events, ensuring that all logistical and operational details align with global standards. Using my fluency in English and Spanish, I facilitate communication and negotiation with suppliers, clients, and partners from diverse cultures, interact with various hotel departments in strategic meetings, and support the setup and execution of events, in addition to collaborating on post-event analyses to identify areas for improvement. In this way, this experience has broadened my understanding of international dynamics and strengthened my skills to build bridges between markets and cultures, promoting global integration.
