Margit Gulyas
Director of Capital Formation, M&A, Sovereign & Family-Office strategies @ QuantumFy Group
About
Transaction advisor and capital-formation executive with 20+ years originating, structuring, and executing institutional deals across the GCC, Europe, APAC, and North America. I work where execution risk is highest on sovereign-anchored, intra-regional, capability-building transactions and reduce that risk through deep regulatory familiarity and governance designed in from the start. My career spans both sides of a deal: origination, structuring, and capital formation on one hand; operational and IT integration, value realization, and post-deal delivery on the other. Tier-1 foundation at Morgan Stanley and UBS, where I managed CHF 500M+ in UHNW and family-office mandates and oversaw $1.2B+ in institutional AUM, structured a $200M Mubadala co-investment pool, and built risk and capital frameworks that cut VaR deviations 22% and drove 40% AUM growth. Over the past three years I built an institutional advisory and capital-formation practice from zero to a $200M+ pipeline, structuring $80M+ in joint ventures and co-investment frameworks with sovereign-linked entities and family offices. Direct, working relationships across the regulators that govern GCC deal-making CBUAE, SAMA, DFSA, ADGM (FSRA), CBB, QCB alongside European (FINMA, BaFin, ECB) and US (SEC, FINRA, OCC, CFTC, Federal Reserve) frameworks. Applied fluency in Shariah-compliant structuring (AAOIFI, sukuk) and digital-asset tokenization, alongside conventional cross-border deal architecture.

Director of Capital Formation, M&A, Sovereign & Family-Office strategies
Dubai
At QuantumFy, I lead the design and execution of a AI-driven financial infrastructure platform operating at a governmental and institutional level across the EMEA, APAC, US, EU engagements, including direct work with clients and partners in financial hubs such as around MENA, Singapore, North Amerika/New York, Boston. Structured $80M+ in joint ventures and co-investment frameworks with sovereign-linked entities and family offices across the UAE, KSA, Bahrain, and Oman, converting early-stage conversations into signed multi-year mandates by anchoring each deal to a long-term capability-building thesis rather than a one-off return. Grew the pipeline 200% year-on-year growth, by originating directly at board and investment-committee level instead of relying on intermediaries the relationship depth that shortens MENA deal cycles. Directed post-merger integration and family-office consolidation across Saudi Arabia and Singapore cross-border PMI at institutional scale unifying investment, reporting, governance, and compliance into single operating models and converting deal theses into realized synergies. Designed mandates spanning Shariah-compliant principles (AAOIFI, sukuk) and US digital-asset frameworks (GENIUS Act, CLARITY Act), giving GCC sovereign and institutional clients compliant access to tokenized real-world assets across jurisdictions most advisors treat as mutually exclusive. Built and activated a 60+ institutional-grade partner network across advisory, custody, compliance, and infrastructure, positioning the practice as a neutral orchestration layer and cutting investor due-diligence cycle time 30%. Engaged directly across the authorities that govern MENA and GCC deal-making CBUAE, SAMA, DFSA, ADGM (FSRA), CBB, QCB alongside European (FINMA, BaFin, ECB) and US-facing (SEC, FINRA, OCC, CFTC) requirements, embedding compliance into deal design from day one rather than retrofitting it.

Director – Financial Infrastructure Strategy, Growth & Capital Formulation
Dubai, United Arab Emirates
At IT Card, I led financial infrastructure strategy and capital formation initiatives across MENA, US and Europe, positioning the company as a trusted partner for banks, fintechs, and institutional investors building next-generation payment and banking platforms. My role focused on bridging regulated financial infrastructure delivery with institutional capital, supporting clients through embedded finance rollouts, core banking and payments deployment, and market entry under complex regulatory frameworks. I worked closely with executive leadership to align product strategy, licensing, and investor readiness across multiple jurisdictions. Over a 12-month period, I doubled the strategic deal pipeline by leading capital formation initiatives and structuring partnerships with family offices, institutional investors, and fintech-focused funds across the GCC and Europe, US. This included shaping commercial models, investor narratives, and governance structures to support scalable platform growth. I enabled embedded finance and digital banking launches by coordinating fintech and bank clients through commercial licensing, investor structuring, and regulatory readiness under frameworks including BaFin, CBUAE, SAMA, and EU E-Money Directive regimes. My work ensured that platform architecture, compliance requirements, and capital expectations were aligned ahead of go-live. In parallel, I advised venture-backed and sovereign-linked clients on capital structuring, deal governance, and go-to-market strategy for tokenised payments, core banking SaaS, and institutional-grade financial infrastructure. Working closely with CTOs and legal teams, I aligned technical integrations including Mambu core banking, Fireblocks custody, and real-time risk engines with investor due diligence and institutional governance standards.

Financial Infrastructure, Expansion & Market Strategy
Europe’s largest digital payments group gave me the chance to drive high-impact expansion initiatives across the GCC and EU, helping financial institutions and fintechs modernise their payment rails, card issuing frameworks and real-time FX infrastructure. The role blended strategic growth leadership with hands-on oversight of technical delivery across Nexi’s core platforms. Pioneering Nexi’s entry into MENA, I championed the Base24 (SIA) switching and card management platform to enable smart routing, cross-border transactions and seamless interoperability across Visa, Mastercard, AMEX and UPI networks. Strategic wins with tier-1 banks and central payment institutions in the UAE, Qatar, Oman, KSA, Boston, New York, Singapore delivered a multi-million-euro uplift in annualised transaction volumes, while partnerships with issuers, acquirers and PSPs were strengthened through a tailored go-to-market strategy. Close collaboration with product and R&D teams ensured Nexi’s technology stack was localised for the region, aligning infrastructure with SAMA, CBUAE, QCB, BaFin, PSD2, SEPA and U.S. standards including OCC and Fed regulatory compliance. Negotiating complex commercial agreements, overseeing TCO and ROI modelling and rationalising vendors for banks transitioning from legacy systems to modernised digital payment stacks helped accelerate EMV migration, tokenisation, 3DS adoption and instant settlement capabilities, improving fraud resilience and the customer experience. This position allowed direct engagement with C-level stakeholders and regulatory bodies, translating complex requirements into scalable, compliant and commercially successful digital solutions.

Head of Private Wealth & Family Office Advisory
Geneva, Switzerland
Trusted to lead Morgan Stanley’s advisory for family offices and ultra-high-net-worth clients, I worked at the intersection of legacy, ambition, and financial stewardship, crafting strategies that protected what mattered most while unlocking new possibilities for growth. Curated deeply personalized multi-asset portfolios across private equity, hedge funds, real estate, and direct investments, each tailored to the evolving vision and risk appetite of families spanning generations. Built trust as the primary advisor to principals and next-gen leaders, designing governance frameworks and succession models that ensured clarity, continuity, and long-term peace of mind. Drove innovation by bringing digital wealth platforms into traditional environments, improving transparency, reporting, and cyber resilience for clients demanding modern experiences. Represented Morgan Stanley’s values and capabilities in high-stakes client conversations, strategic partnerships, and regional alliances, helping the firm deepen its presence in Europe and the Gulf. Reported directly to the CEO on client performance, pipeline opportunities, and long-term regional growth. What made this chapter meaningful was the privilege of walking alongside families as they shaped their future, combining technical expertise with empathy, discretion, and unwavering commitment.
