Invited to join the Asset Management (AM) AI Transformation Team. Leads AI adoption, AI use case implementation and AI education for AM with approximately 4,000 employees. Lead the direction of AI implementation of AM. Hands-on implementation of POC, lead architecture meetings to productionize POCs. As an SME to conduct trainings and workshops for AI and automation initiatives. In short, I make things happen, and I enable colleagues to make things happen.

1. Organizational AI generalist, AI platform engineer, and lead AI cultural changes. Coach and educate colleagues on prompt engineering. Hands-on deliver software products with AI in the process, and with AI capabilities in the end-product. Also hands-on deliver platform for AI research. Research for possibilities to bring different AI tooling to the team while complying with bank policies. 2. Define the technology strategy for digital core services, in particular with core platform. Design the architecture and selecting the best technology to use in various revenue-generating projects. Own the overall technology and data flows of the systems in core platform, design the target architecture for technology modernization, including AI adoption, with Microsoft Azure and Power Platform.

Increase developer productivity by delivering CI/CD pipeline enhancements, runtime environment/package management, core infrastructure and research infrastructure. Maintain platform sanity and best practices by providing developer support to local users; give development recommendations, prioritize and implement developers' requests.

Onboard to the Hong Kong team before relocating to London.

As a software engineer in Equities Data Engineering, take technical ownership on a few important components in the research platform. Create business value by increasing research capabilities on top of the existing Jupyter Notebook/Lab research setup; as the primary developer to develop extensions on lab. As an architect to design the seamless Python 2 to Python 3 upgrade solution that host and executes user code in containers, and as the primary developer to implement the complete solution.

As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) in Equities Data Engineering, deliver improvements in quality and reliability of data sets used by various strategies. Observe pain points in support and deliver tooling for reliability improvements and data quality management. Design and deliver solutions to improve analytical capabilities in research tools. Implement solutions to improve reliability of internal tools, which fit or improve existing architecture, or even involve redesign of existing architecture.

Joined the newly established Quartz Core Asia team. As a solutions architect to design architecture for projects in core and different LOBs. Take part in maintaining deal model and instrument models. As a software architect to conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and as generalist to support the developer community in the region. As platform engineer and platform expert to advocate the Quartz platform; deliver education sessions on best practices and the internals of the platform. Observe the pain points and architectural anti-patterns; raise new initiatives in core and deliver solutions to the core platform.

Responsible for 3 areas: Architect in a retirement project of the enterprise-wide collateral trigger and monitoring application; architect in the Consolidated PnL, Risk and Trades programme, and developer in desk BAU reports. Responsible for redesigning, consolidating and migrating the two existing collateral trigger systems to Quartz, with upstream feeds replaced with strategic data sources from Quartz. Also worked on the Asia specific portion of the global project migrating existing risk systems from different LOBs to a single FICC-wide pricing engine in Quartz. Responsible for trading desk, MO, COO and risk managers' requests on day-to-day BAU reports.

Worked in a global team with 50+ colleagues from US, EMEA and APAC. Support the major risk system for credit LOB. Assist in new product release, investigation and resolving risk & P/L issues. Work closely with front office, middle office P/L team, trade support, and market risk team. Worked in strategic projects in risk as an architect. Implement requests from the structured credit and funding desk.

Fast-tracked AVP promotion in Feb 2014 (2.5 years from start of my career).

Delivered on various strategic projects in international teams with teammates located in Japan, Singapore, Sydney, London, New York and India. Project team size varies from 3 to around 30. Took part as different roles in various projects, including architect, dev-lead, business analyst and developer. Projects include intra-day trade reporting platform, reference data editor, real- time application health monitoring, scenario analysis tool, and CDO basket construction data viewer integrated with the bank's proprietary cross asset pricing system. Support various systems and ad-hoc jobs that Credit Technology APAC owns.

Productionized a prototype of ‘Deduplication File System’ based on Ext/2 for Linux based file system using FUSE (File system in USEr space).

Delivered improvement definition document and functional specification for Multi-server Upgrade Advisor project, on the infrastructure of Utility Control Point. Collaborated in a cross regional team of SQL Server Manageability with teammates in Shanghai and Beijing.

Graduated in March 2011 with first class honours, awarded a total of 8 scholarships.
