I joined LUXOTTICA S.r.l. on the August of 2005. I usually work in the facility of Lauriano, near Turin, in Italy where we produce sunlenses, glass and plastic-made for all the other LUXOTTICA Group plants in Italy, China, India, California. After three months as training period, I started working on the improvements of the coating process for plastic lenses where we apply an anti-scratch lacquer. Then I've fixed my attention to the tinting process to get a gradient colored shade on the plastic sunlenses. I registered a new patent with LUXOTTICA S.r.l. on October 2007 for the production of gradient plastic lenses with a tintable coating. Now I'm R&D Manager for Lens Department of LUXOTTICA S.r.l. We've a very different and brilliant projects open: thin diamond-hard coatings for glass, new anti-scratch coatings for plastic, new materials suitable for sunlenses, developing new industrial application for textile dyes in this ophthalmic world.

I worked and lived in Belgium and Italy, developing procedures and protocols for Quality Insurance and New Material Development, trying to meet the rigid requests of our Main Customers.

At Ce.Ri.Tec. S.r.l., my first experience after PhD, I learnt a lot about UV technology for plastics and polymers, lab-scale and industrial-process scale

I did there my military service and after a training period of 3 months as a cadet, I became subtenant of Technical Engineering Group. I worked at STABIMILES, close to Civitavecchia (RM), for 12 months as the technical production manager of industrial installation for the chemical mines clearance arriving from First and Second World War.
