Provided Windows Server administration, LAN/WAN administration, and intrusion detection and prevention (IDP) monitoring. Also managed AD/DNS, wireless access points and Sonicwall firewall appliances. Designed and implemented highly available (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions for clients and servers including off-site backup rotation. Managed and maintained all IT infrastructure including network hardware, server and client systems, Active Directory domain, Exchange 2003 & 2010, intranet web host, Act! CRM, Quickbooks Enterprise, Backup Exec, and Trend Micro WFBS. Designed, developed and maintained in-house custom MySQL databases and web applications (XHTML, PHP, JavaScript/AJAX) for use in monitoring inventory, recording system assembly configurations and tracking both customer and vendor RMA processes. Performed Active Directory and Exchange migration from Server 2003 to SBS 2011.

Performed hardware, application software and operating systems diagnostics, upgrades and installations as well as system optimizations, virus & malware removal, and system recovery.

Internship required developing an application to serve as a user-friendly GUI interface for the Wilcom FM8520 Fiber Meter. The FM8520 measures signal attenuation in fiber networks. Upon successful completion of internship requirements and specifications the application was distributed alongside device purchases. Designed, developed and tested a Win32 application which provided the ability to transfer, via RS-232 serial connection, field data stored on the device. Device information could be downloaded via the application to be viewed, printed, graphed, saved to file, and exported to MS Excel format.
