One of my gifts as an editor is to hear what the reader will hear, so you--the author--can tell the story you mean to tell. I help clients see where even simple changes can better communicate their ideas completely and accurately, to maintain the flow of the story and carry the reader through to the end. As a published author myself, I know the value of a good editor! I can help you to: • Organize your ideas into a finished product (developmental editing) • Revise and rewrite so you can be sure that what you've written is what you meant to say (line editing) • Ensure grammar, punctuation and other style elements match your required style guide or house style (copy editing) • Or just be that last pair of fresh eyes to double-check for mistakes (copy editing and proofreading) My approach is flexible, service-oriented, story-focused, and deadline-driven. My clients include traditional and independent publishers, book packagers, educational institutions, magazines, businesses large and small, arts and other nonprofit organizations, and individual authors.
