As a technical sales engineer, I spent the majority of my time connecting my clients (new and existing) to various automation technologies to address their application or project requirements. A big component of the role was to educate and inform our clients of new technologies, and how these technologies can solve their specific problems. I developed long-term working relationships with my clients through delivering innovative solutions, within the boundaries of their budget and delivery schedule. For an extended period of my role as a technical sales engineer, I was responsible for the account management of our oil and gas customers throughout the Taranaki region.
