Ensure the optimal operation of the manufacturing departments which included Molding, Tooling, Maintenance and CNC departments. Set priorities, developed processes and procedures in order to achieve quality requirements and on-time delivery. Using domestic and foreign tooling suppliers managed multiple injection mold development projects to assure on-time delivery, as per agreed upon budget and quality requirements. Worked with outside suppliers as well as in-house personnel to validate new tooling. Recommend to customers molded part design modifications in order to optimize production and quality. Evaluated suppliers tooling capabilities and part manufacturing. Quoted new projects which included tooling, injection molding, machining and assembly. Performed time studies and developed work instructions for the assembly operation. Responsible for maintaining PM programs for tooling and manufacturing equipment. Managed engineering changes as required for new and exciting tooling projects.

Worked with the marketing department and outside suppliers to develop new products. Monitor process and develop corrective actions where needed to keep timelines according to schedule. Project management of new tool development programs which included tool design, mold flow analysis and fabrication. Tool validation to assure that tools were production ready, to meet quality and production requirements. Managed as many as 38 new tooling programs at the same time. Work with the manufacturing operation in Tijuana Mexico to develop new tooling and processes in order to achieve manufacturing requirements, as well as the procurement of new manufacturing equipment. Set-up a pad printing and coating decorating line at the manufacturing facility in Tijuana Mexico. Develop mold fabrication, mold PM program and mold validation standards to assure quality products. Responsible for managing and directing the activities of the Plastics Operation Departments, which included: Molding, Tooling, Equipment-Facility Maintenance, Extrusion, Hose Assembly and Manufacturing Engineering departments. Ensure the optimal operation of a twenty-four hour, five days per week molding operation which consisted of 50 injection molding machines ranging in size from 25 to 500 tons and managing a total of 92 employees.
