Studied, designed and implemented a solution to large scale high speed genome wide association studies by focusing on the data and database structure. Paper published by Oxford University and presented at the Bio-IT World Conference 2010. Please see publications. The resulting data set required 86% less disk space and performed analytical calculations 6248 times faster compared to a standard approach without any loss of information. Brought together different databases from several different labs around the world and creating a data warehouse that supports internal and external audits and reporting.
