Major in Power Engineering
The Power Engineering specialization has been responsible for training and educating graduates in electric power engineering courses. The students, in addition to their basic knowledge in electrical engineering are armed with strong analytical skills and knowledge in: > Power Systems Analysis: The graduates are armed with the theoretical and practical knowledge to model transmission lines, power flow studies, and network calculations. The students learn economic dispatch, fault analysis, transient stability and time-domain analysis using MATLAB and Simulink exercises. > Power Distribution Engineering: The course covers broad topics in transmission and distribution engineering and planning.
