Development of New Products, Leading Innovations, Process Optimization, Product Quality, Operational Efficiency and Process Excellence

• Leading the Process Excellence and R&D Department in StarchPack, a subsidiary of Packages Group. • Product Development: Developed different variants of natives Starches, Oxidized Starches, Cationic Starches and Enzymatic Glucose Successfully. Now working to develop White Maize and Waxy Maize based Starches. • Manufacturing Procedures: To finalize in written form the manufacturing procedures of different grades of Native, Oxidized, Cationic Starches and Enzymatic glucose after Laboratory Trails and Successful Plant Trails. • Laboratory Testing Procedures: To finalize testing procedures of laboratory from Corn Refiners Association CRA, International Starch Institute ISI and Corn Product International CPI. • Comparison & selection of Equipment meeting quality and production requirement with pros & cons. Clarifications and technical discussions with vendors for arrangement material for machinery and operation that fulfill plant requirement. • Plant Commissioning: Plant Erection and commissioning experience of two plants as mentioned in experience details. (Mehran Plant & StarchPack) • P& IDs modifications modification suggestions and setting best plant parameters as compare with worldwide plants. • Pre-commissioning (dry run & water run) of installed equipment and lines flushing. • Plant commissioning of Corn Wet Milling, Modifies Starches and Liquid Glucose Syrup. • Training of plant production engineers and trainee engineers to study corn processing, plant P & IDs and safe optimum operation of plant. • Plant KPIs and SOPs preparation for safe operation and best recovery as compared to worldwide corn processing plants. • Successful startup of StarchPack 250 TPD corn processing plant. • Plant Yield & Sustainability Reporting: To calculate plant yields, losses, recoveries and propose ways to improve plant yields. To calculate and report carbon emission, wastewater losses, energy steam, water and electricity consumption per tons grind and per ton of each product.

• Worked to Increase plant capacity of corn grinding from 100 tons per day to 320 tons per day. Now working to further increase capacity from 320 to 350 tons per day till 2023. Next five-year goal is to achieve 500 tons per day grind which requires few more equipment and machinery. • Determine all necessary requirement for plant expansion and plant capacity enhancement. • Command on plant line tracing and installation new equipment for plant capacity enhancement • To evaluate the DS official yields of Starches, Acid Hydrolysis Glucose, Corn oil, Gluten, MOC, Feeds, Germ, Fiber and Steep water yields. • To calculate the financial impact of Yields on company business. • To evaluate the following losses, their impact and analysis i.e. Evaporation Losses, Expelling Losses, Effluent Losses, Sample Losses, Known Losses & Unknown Losses. Impact of moisture gain/loss on company business. • To evaluate the Starches, Crude Corn Oil and Protein Material balances and water balance of plant. • To calculate the glucose spent carbon losses of Liquid Glucose. • Preparing the comparative reports of KPls, CCPs and QCPs. • To facilitate the production department for trouble shooting of in process disturbances and issues. • To develop, review and update the SOPs as well as training manuals. • To conduct the surveys regarding wastages identification and their control, Water conservation, Steam conservation, leakages identification and rectification, Line and equipment insulations and process optimization. • To facilitate the operation department during commissioning of equipment. • To prepare and share relevant KPIs. • To investigate deviations in process, material and energy efficiencies and identify measures for correcting the same. • Facilitate Surveillance Audits, customer visits and regulatory support visits. • To maintain smooth operation of weigh bridges, weighing scales. Inspection, Calibration and Stamping by Government, Weights & Measures Department as per schedule.

• Plant Erection, installation, and commissioning experience of Rafhan Maize Products Co. Ltd Mehran Plant. • Increased the plant capacity from 100 tons per day to 300 tons per day. • Lean Six Sigma Green Belts (LSS-GB) certified from Singapore Quality Institute International (SQII) conducted by PIQC Institute of Quality • Provide technical services including process studies, troubleshooting, process optimization and maintenance of historical data to identify, monitor and control key operating parameters. To check the performance of process equipment and to keep proper maintenance of process equipment. • To calculate monthly plant yield and identify plant losses. Reporting of yield reports to corporate. • SAP expertise of PP Module, managing monthly and yearly closing activities. • To complete NCIR of each non-confirming batch and suggest the immediate remedial action to avoid any off-cod production. To produce products of sufficient quality and quantity to meet the projected needs of customers. • To train, newly hired engineers, operators and technical staff of plant. • Implement all EHS protocols and initiatives. To conduct employee training, coaching, and counseling sessions. To conduct RCA in case of any accident or incident and report in EPX database software to the corporate. • To train operators about DCS and to check proper utilization of plant resources and manpower. • To conduct all production activities and transaction through SAP ERP software (PP Module). • To conduct internal audits and ensure ISO documentation records. Supervise (MR) Food Safety Audits (FSSC), SMETA and other internal or external follow-up audits. • Worked as a Corporate Cultural Ambassador from Pakistan by organizing visits, activities, and events. Sharing reports to corporate to build positive image of Pakistan and Rafhan Maize Products Co. Ltd.

• Provide technical support including process studies, troubleshooting, process optimization and maintenance of historical data to identify, monitor and control key operating parameters. To check the performance of process equipment and to ensure proper maintenance of process equipment. • Assist in the day to day activities of operation to produce products of sufficient quality and quantity to meet the projected needs of customers. • Strong plant line tracing, parameter calculation and maintain standard operating condition. Report any deviation on time. • To guide operators about DCS (digital control system) and ensure operators are giving right information on log sheets. To monitor and ensure to keep the parameters (temperature, pressure, flow rate, pH, density, size, so2 %age, protein starch separation, moistures, product quality etc) lies within safe and acceptable range. • Working on SAP system regarding production activities. • Posting shift production & dispatches in SAP system • To achieve production targets regarding both quality and quantity. • To ensure safety of product, process equipment and workers • To ensure that product losses are being controlled. • To coordinate with Shift Chemist to find the in-process non conformances and suggest remedial action to avoid any off-code. production. • To facilitate proper manpower at the required section. • To ensure that manufacturing materials and supplies are sufficiently drawn from Stores in time. • Inspecting the performance of process equipment • Ensuring proper maintenance of the process equipment

Responsibilities & Accomplishments: • Motivate, encourage, advise and help the students in planning and resolving study related problems • Check the progress of students from software and discuss results with them and their parents. • Identify the areas of weaknesses and what improvements are needed for perfection. • Guide the student about paper presentation and time management. • Handle and resolve the student- teacher complains. • Conduct and supervise the parent –teacher meetings. • Keep the record of students and send daily campus report to head office. • Coordinate with head office and update the students about new events and opportunities.

Arranged blood screening camps and seminars about blood diseases awareness 2007 – 2010 Served the Society of Chemical Engineers as a Chief Organizer in UET. Arranged 5 industrial tours, many sports events, various educational seminars and get-togethers. Communication and presentation skills. Designed and delivered over 20 presentations to audience of 200 people. Obtained Government merit scholarships in 8thand intermediate classes. Regular participant of games played in university like Badminton, Cricket and football. Played as a football referee in annual sports of UET in 2011.
