• Lead and manage academic laboratory in allergic skin inflammation, food allergy and asthma, including the study of the role of: o type 2 cytokines in the activation of dendritic cells to antigen encountered in damaged skin. o basophils in cutaneous S. aureus infection, allergic skin inflammation and skin barrier function. o IL4R polymorphisms at single cell level during allergic skin inflammation. o developmental pathways (WNT/Hh) in allergic skin inflammation. o skin inflammatory mediators in the atopic march, meat allergy and predisposition of inflammatory bowel disease o cell-to-cell communications during allergic skin inflammation to find novel pathogenic and protective mechanisms. • Mentor postdoctoral fellows, research assistants and college and high school students in my lab projects. • Technical and intellectual support in departmental, and collaborative projects locally in Longwood medical area, nationally and internationally. • Writing of manuscripts grant proposal and animal, biosafety and IRB protocols. • Coordinate and execute single cell RNAseq library preparation of skin cells and sorted immune cells. • Constant work with colleagues with different expertise such as bioinformatics, stem biology, neurology and drug discovery. • Effective communication with scientific collaborators to run specific experiments or analysis. • Revision of manuscript for different journals • Presentations in local, national and international scientific congresses and meetings • Consultant for different biotech companies working with skin diseases.
