Job Responsibility: • Incharge of quality assurance and quality control for upgradation works at Mumbai International airport (Project cost – US $ 2 billion) • Approving Project Quality Plans, Quality Assurance Plans, Construction Methodologies and Technical Specifications for various activities in terminal buildings, airside and landside • Approving various construction material and mix designs • Inspecting daily construction activities at site and raising non conformities • Conducting regular quality audits for checking adherence to required quality norms • Issuing Quality Certificates for completed projects after ensuring satisfactory closure of all snags • Presenting to top management monthly quality report stating the health of quality system of various ongoing projects Special projects handled • Use of Carbon Fibre Reinforced Warping system for strengthening of Mithi river bridge • Use of Polymer Modified Binders for Asphalt works on runway • Use of recycled aggregate obtained from existing pavement concrete for CTB, DLC, WMM & GSB • Working on rubblization technique for building new aprons on existing concrete aprons

Technicians, development of training modules Major R&D projects handled Developing guideline for mix design of concrete using fly ash. The guideline is presented in "High Volume Fly Ash Concrete technology, Best Practice Guidelines" published jointly; Offering assistance to team of CANMET, Canada lead by Prof. V. M. Malhotra for performing trials for use of High Volume Fly Ash Concrete (HVFAC) in various projects in India. Also involved in conducting training programs with CANMET for promotion of HVFAC Cold weather concrete - Designing concrete mixes, determining heating capacities and type of insulation required to withstand ambient temperatures upto -10 C for Chutak & Nimoo Bazgo Hydro Electric Projects in Kashmir Heat resistant concrete - Developing heat resistant concrete to withstand temperature upto 700C Special achievements M60 grade mass concrete for pylon foundation with 37% Fly Ash and 7.5% Silica fume (Triple blend concrete) having pumpable workability after 3 hours for Bandra - Worli Sea Link Project M30 grade tremie seal concrete with 55% Fly Ash having a pumpable workability after 3 hours for Bandra - Worli Sea Link Project Thermal analysis of Nimoo Bazgo concrete dam for determining the actual placing temperature of concrete and stresses developed in the dam body Preparation & approval of Clean Development Mechanism Project "Reduction in use of ordinary Portland cement by replacement with supplementary cementitious material" by Meth Panel of UNFCCC

Preparations of detailed drawings for RCC structures like commercial and residential buildings etc. on CAD using Micro Station and ASA for different projects in USA Planning and scheduling of reinforcement supply for different projects Undergone training and on job experience in USA for 6 months

Preparation of Quality Assurance Manuals for different projects involving Dams, Bridges and Roads Monitoring the overall quality of concrete on various projects and attending to the problems faced during execution Designing concrete mixes of different grades up to M75 for ongoing and upcoming projects, exclusively dealing with silica fume, fly ash and ground granulated blast furnace slag cement Projects handled: Mumbai - Pune Expressway Project: Involved in designing of concrete mix (M40 grade) for Pavement Quality Concrete (PQC) work. Involved in the progress monitoring and repair works involved for this project. Bandra - Worli Sea Link Project Involved in designing of concrete mix of M60 grade for precast segments and other concrete requiring specific strength and workability criteria Involved in the planning of concrete production and placement methodologies

Design of R.C.C. and Prestressed Concrete Bridges, liasioning with the clients and getting the necessary approvals of the Design and Drawings of bridges
