As a Head of Advanced Engineering at Hella India, my responsibilities include developing future Automotive Technologies focusing on four major areas – Autonomous Driving, Efficiency & Electrification, Digital & Sustainable Experiences and 2/3 Wheelers. We work in close collaboration with other Advanced Engineering teams located in Germany and China. I am also leading AI Solutions team where we support all Hella Business Units for AI related solutions. This is a cross functional team focusing on AI based process improvement, product enhancements and Generative AI. 30+ years of professional career spanning across two domains - Automotive and Industrial process control & automation Last 22+ years, working in Automotive systems & software development. Successfully played various technical (roles like Function developer, System designer & Product line architect), managerial and leadership roles in Automotive tier1 & Software services companies. Hands on experience of executing variety of projects in the area of Engine management systems for Gasoline engines, Battery Management, Motor control for EVs , vehicle connectivity & end to end product development for Advanced Automotive Diagnostics. Passionate engineering leader with deep technical understanding and experience in Automotive Systems and software development, business negotiations, customer and employee engagement and building large cross functional international teams. Actively involved in building connects between Industry and Academia.
