Responsible for the HTML/ASP coding for the Special Projects of different races, such as Derby and Hong Kong International Race. Horse information were delivered in a compact form to user for easy comparison. Interactive Elements were introduced later including “Horse Form” and Flash game similar to famous TV Programme, The Millionaire. All those web solutions encouraged further development of multimedia flash games on the HKJC corporate web as a leisure and branding purpose. On the other hand, Web Site Revamp were carried out during my year of service and I am the core team member for the corporate web site.

Responsible for the web site design and charting for stock securities. Programming task for the Financial Information Feed (FIF), which enhanced the financial data transfer between the company and our clients. I am also responsible for the revamp of our web site by re-grouping different modules and provide a cleaner interface for our clients.

This was a part-time job during my school life in university. I worked on various multimedia projects for the departments of CUHK, including Department web sites and computer teaching. I sharpen my skills on 3D graphics and flash programming during the three years of employment.

Prototyping for Education Bureau’s e-Textbook pilot scheme, which is later presented at LEGCO meeting, demonstrating how e-Textbook can achieve efficient learning and teaching. LEGCO agreed to grant 50M funding for the Schools in Hong Kong to purchase digital learning resources. Carried out Usability Study for the Web Portals by meeting different groups of stake holders, including colleagues, teachers and students. Scientific research such as mouse tracking experience were adopted during the research. The findings observed were precious to the company and the web sites were enhanced later. Some of the enhanced elements such as web usability provided a solid ground to achieve awards from OGCIO few years later.

Responsible for the feasibility test of the migration to an open source content management system, Drupal. An exclusive theme module for the company is developed based on Bootstrap 3, which also served as an integration reference for outsource projects. Contributed to the successful revamping of various projects from traditional web pages to responsive design which is highly adaptable to the current trend of significantly increasing amount of mobile users.
