About

As a researcher and public policy practitioner, I wear multiple hats. As co-founder of PaperLab, one of Kazakhstan's leading independent think tanks, I have contributed to building an organization that is recognized internationally for its well-established reputation, robust partnership network, and a vibrant community of supporters committed to driving positive change in the region. My expertise in regional politics and governance has led to consulting engagements with major international organisations including the UN, World Bank, and Freedom House, where I contributed to key publications on democratisation and human rights. Currently, I combine my practical experience with academic research as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie PhD Candidate at University College London (UCL) and a fellow at Harvard University's Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies. In my doctoral research I examine how international education shapes institutional transformation in post-Soviet spaces. Whether through civil society leadership, international consulting, or academic research, I remain committed to understanding and supporting positive change in Central Asia.
