My responsibilities for a project titled, Mapping of Geogenic heavy metal pollution sources in Kilifi County and its Health impacts to the community. * As the graduate research assistant, my duties involved: * Navigation and prior planning to the different locations of interest in the study area. * Collection of soil, water and plant samples. Nb; Physico-chemical measurements were taken for water samples at the collection point, measurements such as Temperature, Oxygen level, Electrical conductivity and pH.) * Organization of the field equipments ensuring their availability and efficiency. * Data collection of the soil sample locations in the field. (Area name,Soil color, physiography description, weather conditions at the time of sample collection, depth of sample collection and the texture of the soil collected.) * Preparation of soil samples for laboratory analysis, which involved Drying and weighing.
