Advanced from Controlling Specialist to Senior Economist, playing a pivotal role in financial oversight and cost optimization across multiple production departments, including coke-chemical, agglomeration and BF. Took part in a strategic transformation of the economic service at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, joining a newly centralized cost planning department created to enhance efficiency, streamline data processing, and modernize the team. Transitioned from workshop-level planning to overseeing cost analysis across the entire coke-chemical production chain, including coal preparation, coking, and auxiliary units. Deepened expertise in coal grades, blend composition, and the full coking process — from coal charge preparation to coke production and internal logistics. Gained hands-on knowledge of coke fractions and their physical-chemical properties. Additionally, expanded understanding of coke oven gas purification technologies and the recovery of by-products such as coal tar, ammonium sulfate, crude benzene, and sulfuric acid. Prepared industrial production statistics and analytical reports for senior management, supported SAP integration, and contributed to process automation and optimization. Participated in director-level meetings and gained first leadership experience by temporarily managing a team of five during supervisor absence.

Managed economic planning and analysis for two key workshops in coke-chemical production. Developed strategic, annual, and monthly plans, calculated product costs, and prepared resource budgets. Monitored production performance, analyzed cost structures, and supported budgeting for repairs and upgrades. Collaborated with cross-functional teams to align technical and financial data. Participated in evaluating the economic efficiency of major modernization projects, including Alfa Laval heat exchangers, a new final gas cooling system, SRU reconstruction, and pilot operation of new coke oven batteries.

Responsible for maintaining records of VAT liabilities and credits, as well as accounts payable and receivable. Prepared tax and financial reports, and ensured accurate documentation of supplier transactions. Actively communicated with vendors and contractors regarding invoicing, payments, and tax documentation.

As part of the internship program, I became familiar with the structure of the Kryvorizhstal metallurgical plant and the specifics of the accounting department within the coke-chemical production unit. I studied the technological features of the production process, internal document flow, and accounting methodology. I participated in the annual inventory of CCPU assets, performed cost accounting for production, and calculated product cost. I also prepared financial and statistical reports related to production expenses and product cost.
