Founder & CEO of TKG Therapeutics, a biotech startup developing next-generation nucleic acid therapeutics for oncology. Our proprietary dual hairpin DNA technology, originating from the University of Tokyo, is triggered by cancer-specific microRNAs to self-assemble within cancer cells, selectively inducing programmed cell death and activating antitumor immune responses. Before founding TKG Therapeutics, I worked across drug discovery, veterinary medicine, and IoT healthcare, leading research, business development, and corporate strategy initiatives. Through experiences in antiviral drug development at a biotech venture and business incubation at Kyoto University, I have developed an integrated perspective that connects research, clinical applications, and commercialization. At TKG Therapeutics, I lead both R&D and strategic partnerships bridging academia, pharma, and investors, aiming to establish a new paradigm in nucleic acid oncology therapeutics from Japan to the world.

Lead & Product Manager, New Business Development Division Led new business initiatives in IoT-based healthcare solutions for dogs and cats, building a data-driven preventive medicine platform. Directed the end-to-end design and development of wearable activity trackers and mobile apps, coordinating over ten partner companies, academic collaborations, and veterinary networks. Achieved 10,000+ device sales and partnerships with 1,150 veterinary clinics nationwide. Program Manager, Kyoto University Incubation Program Served as Business Development Lead in a Kyoto University incubation program, advancing a project to develop additives for organ preservation solutions. Collaborated directly with the principal investigator to integrate scientific and commercial strategies. Oversaw research–business meetings, regulatory planning, and market analysis in Japan and the US. Designed a strategy to pursue FDA approval prior to PMDA submission, addressing Japan’s pricing limitations. Led coordination with US–Japan regulatory consultants and academic partners, maintaining effective communication and progress across time zones. Drove the project from research phase toward preclinical development through structured and globally coordinated management.

As a Senior Research Scientist at KinoPharma, led the development of a novel antiviral drug based on an unexplored mechanism of action. Managed in vitro/in vivo studies, formulation, and preclinical planning, resulting in a candidate that progressed to clinical trials. Discovered the target protein through genomic and proteomic analysis in collaboration with the University of Tokyo and the University of Kyoto, leading to a first-author paper in J Clin Invest.
