Mahmoud Zahran

As a recent LLB (Hons) graduate from the University of Essex, I have a strong academic foundation in various areas of law, such as civil, criminal, public, competition, arbitration, and international law. I achieved an upper 2.1 degree and participated in several extracurricular activities, such as moot court competitions, legal clinics, and student advocacy programs. To complement my theoretical knowledge, I also gained valuable practical experience as a legal intern at Baker McKenzie, one of the leading global law firms. There, I assisted with legal research, drafting, and filing for multiple cases covering fields of competition & antitrust, mergers & acquisitions, and corporate law, as well as office administration and client communication. I also undertook the role of legal advisor at Support Through Court, where I provided in-person guidance and support to unrepresented litigants quarreled by sexual harassment, housing, personal injury, and child custody disputes. My career goal is to qualify as a practicing barrister/attorney within the United Kingdom and the United States. I am passionate about pursuing a legal career that values ethics and the well-being of society, accordingly I am eager to learn from and contribute to organizations that share this vision. I have excellent skills in legal research, verbal and written advocacy, as well as extensive litigation knowledge. I remain proficient in Arabic, English, and French while being able to utilize a plethora of legal software.
