• Manage all Hot End Department process and activities (Furnace, Tin bath, Coating and Lehr). • Measure the hot end process efficiency and prepare root cause analysis and required corrective actions for any deviation to increase the productivity and maintain the line lifetime and decrease downtimes for the line. • Plan and manage follow up all hot end projects (Color change, Hot repairs, and Cold repairs) • Insure good and efficient Pyrolytic Spray Coating process (CVD) Solar Cool and Vista Cool According to PPG technology and continual improvement of the process. • Discuss production plan with planning department and manage the execution of the approved plan to increase the productivity. Review, discuss, and approve the Hot End losses’ targets. • Develop Emergency procedures, Guidelines and SOP for all area activity to insure safe &efficient process. • Monthly and weekly meetings with all hot end teams and engineers to discuss the obstacles and difficulties and brainstorming then analyzing to get the best result. • Insure complying with occupational health, safety and Environment regulations, policies and instructions at workplace. • A Member of teamwork they success Integrated Management System (ISO 9001 – ISO 14001 – ISO 45001 – ISO 50001) • Responsible for Energy Management System (ISO 50001) file for Hot End. Participate in Energy saving Committee activates in the plant.

• Do a technical check round for the whole line to assure the line safety and communicate with managers and section heads if an action is needed. • Attend the morning board meeting to collaborate and update the production plan with the previous day targets for all the plant departments to take corrective actions if needed with the managerial positions. • Follow-up the implementation of the plant targets and instructions set by the departments’ managers with the plant sections to ensure the targets achievement. • Review the parameters of the operation system of the plant departments, in case of problems decide to modify the parameters after consulting the department manager if necessary. • Follow up the production quality issues and do the necessary analysis for it and take the proper action. • Follow up and study the critical problems affecting the line performance and yield and should aware by all the parameters affecting on the yield and how to solve it and what’s the root cause of the problems for good action and good reporting.

• Review the TB, Lehr settings and parameters regarding the temperature, speeds’ angles and annealing temperature to ensure following the SOPs to decrease the downtime and loses. • Direct and supervise the hot end technician team through the thickness change (especially the heavy and thin glass) to minimize the losses and improve their performance. • Analyse the root causes of the glass forming and annealing problems that are related to the TB & Lehr area, then take corrective actions to improve the yield and performance. • Supervise the regular activities regarding the tin bath blow down, tweel change and LOR change to maintain the quality of the glass. • Determine, analyze, and plan the required quantity of the TB & Lehr consumables, then report it to the hot end section head to issue PR, follow up the delivery time and consumption rate to ensure the production process continuity. • Communicate the current equipment failure to the maintenance department, follow up the preventive maintenance schedule and conduct the maintenance plan of the TB & Lehr area with the maintenance team to minimize the downtime. • Coordinate with planning & control engineer the starting time of coating plan according to the availability of batch, manpower plan, and machine condition to ensure high level of yield. • Supervise the coating campaign activities regarding receiving raw material, issuing material inside silos, batch (preparing, mixing and storing), machine operation and coordinate with QA to ensure the high quality of coated glass. • Participate in Energy saving Committee activates in the plant. Commit with all EnMs roles and responsibilities as per the roles and responsibilities set by energy committee. • Comply with occupational health, safety and Environment regulations, policies and instructions at workplace.

• Review and follow up on daily basis the temperature of furnace from the daily and previous two shifts to ensure that the temperature degrees match the standards. • Review the furnace conditions regarding the furnace sealing and equipment’s like; coolers, cooling fans and batch charger to ensure that the conditions and equipment’s work in properly. • Analyze the root causes of the glass defects that are related to the furnace, and then take corrective actions to improve the glass quality. • Supervise the hot repair activities inside the furnace area to save and maintain the furnace lifetime. • Communicate the current equipment failure to the maintenance department, follow up the preventive maintenance schedule and conduct the maintenance plan of the furnace area with the maintenance team to minimize the downtime. • Design and develop the work instructions and SOPs related to the furnace conditions and problems then supervise the hot end shift engineer, furnace process senior controller and furnace senior technician to ensure following the instructions to ensure proper problem solving. • Plan, prepare, manage and follow up the furnace project plans regarding the color change, regenerator cleaning, basin wall patching and furnace sealing to maintain the furnace lifetime.

• Manage all furnaces (Tunnel & Shuttle) parameters and curves • Review all the defected production and put the corrective actions to solve the problems. • Make maintenance for all furnace equipment’s (Regulators, Actuators, Servo motors) • Supervise all hot repairs and cold repairs for tunnel and shuttle furnaces. • Adjusting air/fuel ratio and flame length and shape. • Calculating the efficiency for all furnace and working for improving the gas consumption. • Continuous improving for all the process. • Manage the cold repair for tunnel furnaces.
