- Ensuring stable line throughput, strip quality, and production targets while maintaining safety and operational standards. - Monitoring furnace performance (preheating, soaking, rapid cooling) to achieve required metallurgical properties for hot-rolled and structured steel grades. - Controlling zinc coating weight, minimizing extra zinc, and analyzing fluctuations related to air-knife pressure, strip position (strip wander), steel surface condition, and line speed. - Coordinating with maintenance and process teams to solve issues in gas supply, combustion, annealing temperature stability, pot chemistry, dross formation, tension leveller performance, and strip flatness. - Managing entry & exit operations: coil preparation, welding quality, shear cutting, recoiling, and tracking material flow. - Ensuring galvanizing pot temperature, aluminium content, wiping stability, and zinc thickness meet customer specs. - Leading troubleshooting activities in areas such as furnace gas shortages, PHF/SHF issues, strip break recovery, zinc pot problems, and mechanical/electrical equipment faults. - Reviewing process data trends, reporting deviations, and recommending continuous improvement actions. - Supporting new grade trials, optimizing parameters for structured steels, and ensuring coil quality meets international standards.

- Designs, develops, and tests new products. - Planning and executing mechanical designs using CAD, CAM, and 3D CAD programs. - Performing computer simulations and experiments to virtually test and refine the designs. - Managing project timelines, resources, and budgets. - Preparing technical reports, design specifications documents, and operational manuals.
